History

The story of Pastor Jeya Stephen, the Founder & Director of New Creation began in 1967 as he was born and raised within the Anglican tradition. Building on this foundation, he received Christ as his personal saviour at the age of 14. In the year 1984, the Lord called him into full-time ministry after which he started and continued biblical studies for three years under Pastor Pratap Singh, the superintendent of Trinity full gospel churches and Principal of Trinity bible college. After graduating in 1987, he began his church ministry from absolute zero with exclusively the vision that the Lord had given him. It was a real slow start in this spiritually dark place of Coimbatore, but the Lord would continue to train him for the next five years just as He did with Moses in the wilderness.

After marrying his wife Lovelin Alfy, the granddaughter of Pastor D.N. Sundaradass, who was one of the founders of the Church of God in India, he purchased a property and started to construct a church facility in 1992. It was in anticipation named as Messiah Gospel Mission. Only after thirteen whole years in 2005 would this construction be completed and opened by Rev. A. Jeyaraj, the then general superintendent of All India Assemblies of God. In the meantime, their son was also born.

Needless to say, the establishment of this Church was not without its challenges. But the Lord was gracious to steadily fill up this place with people. He also served to initiate & lead a local pastoral fellowship called CPCF. Together with this, his interest in bible teaching and vision to enable pastors to serve in the local church kept burning in his heart.

As a fulfillment, he founded a bible college called New Creation Theological Academy (NCTA) in 2010. He authored thirty Tamil books for biblical studies and theological revolution. NCTA continues to train hundreds of students around the world for His kingdom until this day. Notably, NCTA was the pioneer institution to offer biblical studies for students in the middle eastern part of the world, truly a historical event.

Subsequently, after the founding of NCTA, the church was renamed as the New Creation Church of God to be a part of New Creation Ministries. Over the years in conjunction with other ministries, NCARE has been involved in making educational provisions for fully/semi orphan children. Today, New Creation is on a mission to impact society through NCOG & NCARE while equipping ministers through NCTA to faithfully and effectively serve in His kingdom. Pray for us!
